Parent & baby yoga + baby massage course
Because doesn’t some time for selfcare + a relaxed baby sound like a good idea?
What it’s all about and who it’s for
Baby Yogi Club is a five week course for parents and babies. The yoga is mostly for parents (although your baby can be part of your practice), and the massage is mostly for babies. Our goal is to give parents a break and some time for themselves, and have happy babies who sleep well and have less tummy troubles.
This course is great for those recovering from giving birth/coming back to their yoga practice, and incorporates tailored asana with restorative movement, breath work and relaxation. It’s also great for dads/partners/other caregivers, who will enjoy and benefit from a slow, sweet practice and hanging out with the baby just as much.
Babies are the best teachers, so your practice can be baby-led, based on your little buddy’s needs to nurse, nap, or have a nappy change. This is a safe space for all parents/caregivers. All you need to bring is yourself, your baby and a blanket for them to hang out on.
What the course features
– postnatal practice for reconnecting to the pelvic floor
– safe poses for rekindling the core and strengthening the abdominal muscles
– pranayama breath work for parents
– heart-openers and stretches for the upper back and shoulders, i.e. the baby-carrying muscles
– themed standing sequences tailored to your needs
– meditation, with or without baby
– instructed reflexology baby massage, with tips for a baby massage practice at home
In each 90 min session, we’ll spend about 60 minutes doing yoga, and 30 minutes doing baby massage, which is a great way to not only bond with your baby, but also to address anything from tummy trouble to finding better sleep. You’ll get some useful tips for a home practice, as well as written instructions for it.
You’re welcome to join the course any time after a month from giving birth based on your own feeling and/or the all clear from your caregiver. Variations on poses will be offered according to your recovery and general feeling. The course is in English and/or Finnish, so you’re welcome to join regardless of whether you speak both languages.

Nina is a flow, yin, prenatal & postnatal yoga teacher. She’s also a reflexology baby massage instructor, lactation counselor and co-creator of the Motherlover affirmation card deck for new parents. She enjoys growing tomatoes, drinking coffee and singing the whole Encanto soundtrack by heart with her two little kiddos.
